Embroidered table cloth

This is an unusual hand embroidered table cloth, medium size, stitched with thick thread and a muted colour palate. Picked up in a Melbourne op-shop one significant day (the only day I've been there for 15 years - of course we went op shopping!). Excellent work from a discerning creator, I'm guessing some time in the 1970s (possibly the '50s?). Backed onto robust linen, this is a stylish and beautiful piece.
