Prop Plate from the Film `Titanic'

Original framed prop china dinner plate used in the 1997 blockbuster film `Titanic'. It was made especially for the production by the same company that made all the original crockery for the original Titanic, it features the White Star Shipping Company logo in the centre. A number of these were produced to be used in the First Class Dining Room. They also made a large number of plaster replica plates used in the scene where dozens of plates fell and smashed as the ship started sinking.

After finishing the film, 20th Century Fox sold off a lot of the props to recoup costs, just in case the movie was a flop (it wasn't !!)
